Mt. Reba - September 3, 2006

Went for a run up to the summit of Mt. Reba, with the trail head near Bear Valley Ski Resort in Calaveras County. It's a short run up but filled with amazing things to see.

Here, at about the half way point, taking a look around.

Discovered an interesting formation on a tree...looked like a heart.

We headed the rest of the way up from here, passed some Mule Ear plants (bet this looks intense in the Spring) and on up to the summit.

The view from the top was spectacular as you can see.

There was even snow on the North face.

We are on top of the world!!!!

Corral Hollow Trip - August 26-2006

Went with 10 FJs for first outing to Corral Hollow (N38° 25.605 W120° 7.253), about 18 miles east of Arnold off Hwy 4. Was a great but dusty outing. Most of the trip was quite scenic and an easy drive to the high ridge before coming down and navigating the tight trees and rock obsticles.

Here we are airing down at the trailhead before heading out.

Here is my rig...nice and clean like the others, all ready for the run.

Here are all 10 FJs lined up as we head up the trail toward the summit. I'm back in the #7 slot.

More of a view up the trail w/ the gang.

Ok, now not so clean. This turned out to be quite the dusty trail and the further back one was, the dustier it seemed to get.

But, the trip up was worth it as you can tell by the views we got at the top.

It was a tight trip down through the trees and rocks and overall, a great run.
